Fine Tubes has reported growing demand for its high pressure tubing products, which are manufactured for some of the most demanding applications, including oil and gas extraction projects and the latest aerospace programmes.
The company works closely with clients to solve tough challenges and develop high-performance solutions that add value to customers’ products and create competitive advantages.
In the oil and gas sector, the high pressure tubing is being sought for hostile downhole conditions, including deepwater and sour oil wells, where operating conditions can require the tubes to withstand pressures of up to 60,000psi.
Fine Tubes can manufacture coiled and straight length tubing in a variety of size specifications and a wide range of materials, including corrosion resistant austenitic, super austenitic, duplex and super duplex stainless steels, as well as titanium grades and nickel alloys.
The applications for which Fine Tubes’ tubes are required include downhole, hydraulic and chemical injection control lines.
The aerospace sector is also a growing market for Fine Tubes, where demand is strong for the high pressure and high temperature-resistant tubes deployed in the engines, airframes and instrumentation of both commercial and military aircraft.
The company is one of the very few tube mills worldwide qualified to produce the titanium tubing used for the Airbus A380 high pressure hydraulic systems, and is also involved in the development of high pressure hydraulic tubing for the A350XWB.
