A large range of aluminium and steel beams is provided by Generation, all are fully tested in line with BS EN 1999 requirements for offshore applications.
Beams are used largely in connection with all types of scaffolding, to provide openings and bridges within a structure, spreading the load through the scaffold, used in suspended and mobile platforms, birdcages, crash decks, large span bridging, temporary roofing and any structure where load is spread to achieve access where conventional scaffolding cannot meet the needs from the ground.
For more specialist applications, we have available the 1.3m Asterix HD Beam with an allowable bending moment of 102.7kNm and allowable shear of 46.6kN. Multiple beam lines omitted for most applications, greatly simplifies lacing and bracing and leads to a massive reduction in fittings and labour.
Steel ladder beams are available in self colour or galvanised steel. They are supplied to BS1139 in lengths of 10ft, 13ft, 16ft, 21ft as standard. They can be used in many onshore and offshore applications.
