Fluid rotary unions for wind turbines
Today's leading wind turbine manufacturers demand reliable hydraulic blade pitch control systems. DSTI's fluid rotary unions provide dependable supply and return hydraulic power to the blade actuators, operating continuously in the toughest environments and conditions.
With more than 2,000 blade pitch control rotary unions in service, DSTI's field-proven designs deliver the highest performance both onshore and offshore.
Additionally, DSTI's fluid rotary unions can also be integrated with electrical slip rings to provide positioning sensor data and fibre-optics.
Fluid swivels for parabolic trough solar field piping systems
Designed for high temperatures and high pressures, DSTI's swivel joints provide rotational movement to heat transfer fluid (HTF) collector piping in parabolic trough concentrated solar power (CSP) systems. Used in conjunction with flexible hoses, DSTI's swivel joints reduce the risk of system fluid leaks - requiring less maintenance and the need for replacement parts.
DSTI's swivel joints offer the latest technology being developed in next-generation CSP systems, delivering a solution that can absorb the rotations and axial motions of today's largest parabolic troughs.
Rotary unions for hydroelectric turbines
Designed for high speed, DSTI's fluid rotary unions provide dependable supply and return hydraulic power to the blade actuators for adjusting pitch to adapt to flow conditions for hydroelectric / water (Kaplan) turbines.
Integrated with electrical slip rings and positioning sensors, DSTI's rotary joints can provide precise and reliable position feedback in addition to fluid transfer.
